City Grounds

Painting the City grounds

There are a number of ways that you can paint your model. This guide shows you the techniques that we used to paint the City Grounds. These are the items you will need:

  • TEXTURED PAINT: Used to achieve a sandy/rough concrete effect. We used white Dulux Sandswept, however you can also use sand mixed with watered down PVA.

  • DULUX SAMPLE POTS: You can obtain these from most hardware stores. These are the Dulux colors that were used: Ticking, Drive Time, Guild Grey and Simone Well. Throughout these instructions, we will refer to them by their number as shown below.

  • ACRYLIC PAINTS: Although any brand will work, we used Citadel paints. The following Citadel colors were used to paint the City Grounds: Scab red and Blood red.

  • ARTISTS BRUSHES: Small and large.
